Social Networking giant, Facebook, crashes worldwide

socnetnews.com

Facebook went down this morning for all of 20 minutes and the (social) world came to a literal standstill. Many users were left in shock before quickly recovering and rushing to Twitter to complain about the outage. “Sorry, something went wrong,” the error message read, “We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.”

The problem was fixed and the platform is now operational. In a statement, Facebook apologized for the worldwide outage but did not give the reason for it. “Earlier this morning, we experienced an issue that prevented some users from posting to Facebook for a brief period of time. We resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100%. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.” This is not the first time the giant social network had gone down. Back in the year 2010, Facebook went down for a record two and a half hours.
